Backup your Secret Recovery Phrase

We recommend that you create a physical backup of your Secret Recovery Phrase and store it in a safe place. The most common method is to write your 24-word phrase on a piece of paper and store it safely in a place where only you have access. This phrase is the only way you can recover your funds should your device crash or your browser reset. Note: if you lose your Secret Recovery Phrase, TanglePay can’t help you recover your wallet.

Never give your Secret Recovery Phrase or private key(s) to anyone or any site unless you want them to have full control over your funds. TanglePay stores the Secret Recovery Phrase, passwords, and private keys in an encrypted format locally on the device where it’s installed.
